How Does Surge Protection Work?

A power surge can occur at any time. They arise from several causes like faulty gear, storms, extreme fluctuations in voltage to a circuit or provide deficiencies in the power company. Because of increased sophistication in electronic wiring, the slightest burst in electricity can result in substantial ruin to electric parts causing permanent damage.

This extra current is then securely redirected through the excess earth cable, right into the floor. This prevents more current than ordinary from flowing into your appliances efficiently ensuring that they are protected from any injury which can be caused by power surges.
